Accessibility

Skibble's Kitchen sells through Skibble. We want everyone to be able to order here, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, zoom, voice control or other assistive technology.

Our aim

We are working toward WCAG 2.2, level AA. An independent review with people who use screen readers is planned; until it passes, we do not claim to meet it.

What works today

  • Everything can be ordered with a keyboard alone, and you can see where the keyboard is.
  • Every form field has a name, says when it is required, and says what to fix.
  • Pages zoom to 400% without scrolling sideways.
  • Text and buttons are readable against their background, even in the kitchen's own colours.
  • Photos are described when the kitchen has written a description.
  • Moving pictures stop when your device asks for less motion.

What may not work yet

  • The card payment form is drawn by our payment processor, Finix. If a part of it is not read out, pay another way the kitchen offers, or tell us below.
  • Photos the kitchen has not described are skipped by screen readers.
  • Some text on French storefronts is still in English.
  • Payment links and quote pages sent by the kitchen are still being improved.
  • On a page painted in a mid-tone colour, some text may be harder to read.

When we last checked

, with automated checks on every page in each storefront style, keyboard tests, and a review of the code.

Another way to order

Report a problem

Tell us what stopped you. It goes to Skibble's Kitchen and to Skibble, and only the description is needed.

For example: checkout, the menu, or the item's name.
